Financial Policies
Our business staff
has over thirty years of experience with dental plan administrators.
We are happy to gather information about your eligibility and benefits.
We do encourage our patients to know the maximums and limitations
of their dental plans. Due to HIPAA (privacy act) regulations, specific
information obtained from your dental insurance carrier may be limited.
We gladly submit your dental claims electronically to allow for
a quick reimbursement for our patients. Most major dental insurance
companies release reimbursement to their subscribers within 10 to
14 business days.
There are many ways in which dental plans are designed and how
reimbursement levels are determined. Dr. Barbaro is an out-of-network
provider. If you have dental coverage, you know that your dental
plan is designed to share your dental costs. It may not reimburse
the total cost of your dental care. Even though the cost of dental
care has significantly increased over the years, the maximum levels
of insurance reimbursements have remained the same for almost 30
years. Most patients share our feelings of not letting their insurance
companies dictate the dentistry they choose to have done.
We spend time
to explain the financial choices our patient’s have with their
treatment plans. We know you are a dental patient, but you are also
a dental consumer. Therefore, fees are openly discussed as part
of your case presentation. We do accept cash, major credit and debit
cards or personal checks as payment methods for your completed treatment
phase.
We
encourage our patients to utilize their Flexible Spending (Pre-Tax
Dollar) Accounts set up by their employers to help with expenses
that are not reimbursed by dental insurance companies. We feel it
is important to spend time with our patients to plan out the financial
end of their necessary or elective treatment plans. If you would
