Comprehensive Care
Severely damaged or compromised dentitions require careful diagnosis
and treatment planning. If you have the need for extensive care,
we can help you reach a level of dental health where long-lasting,
comfortable, and attractive teeth can change your life.
Preventive
Care
Dentistry today is about not only treatment, but also the prevention
of further disease. This is where our office truly shines. We believe
in a conscientious program of routinely scheduled appointments for
cleanings and examinations once a patient has successfully completed
his/her treatment. This aspect of our office is performed by our
professional dental hygienists (examinations by the doctor). Our
prevention program includes: cleanings, oral cancer screening, digital
radiography, laser cavity detection, placement of sealants for decay
prevention, in office and at home fluoride treatments for children
and adults, and treatment of periodontal (gum) disease.
Family Dentistry
Dr. Barbaro treats the entire family. Adults will benefit from his
comprehensive outlook. Teenagers will appreciate the time our hygienist
spent on reinforcing life long brushing and flossing habits. Dr.
Barbaro will keep an eye on third molar (wisdom teeth) eruption
and refer any necessary surgery to the oral surgeon. Usually, we
see children by the age of three and strive to make their first
visit a positive one. We will be watching for early signs of decay,
orthodontic needs and normal tooth eruption patterns for your child.
The first relationship your child has with a dentist can leave a
lasting impression.
Our clinical staff always attends continuing education classes
and is happy to share their knowledge of the new products and procedures
that are constantly coming into the world of dentistry.
ViziLite
Oral cancer is one of the most curable diseases when it’s
caught early. ViziLite helps identify oral lesions at their earliest
stages of development. Learn more at www.vizilite.com.

Dentures
Dr. Barbaro not only can provide dentures for patients, but he uses
the revolutionary new SOFT liner for the dentures (usually only
on the lower). This soft liner provides years of gentle comfort
for painful, sore gums. Esthetics are superb and natural-looking.
Another amazing advancement is the implant-supported denture. This
procedure is when implants are placed in the jaw (by an oral surgeon).
Upon healing, a time of four to six months, connectors are placed
on the underside of the denture which "snap" into place
over the implants. No more messy and ineffective denture adhesives.
The denture "snaps" into your mouth and stays there until
you take it out! Come in for a consultation to see how this procedure
has changed the life of frustrated denture wearers. Learn more about

The CEREC 3
What is CEREC?
CEREC means we can quickly and economically restore damaged teeth
using a durable ceramic material that matches the natural color
of other teeth in your mouth. CEREC is an acronym for Chairside
Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. CEREC is a revolutionary
way to restore damaged teeth in a single visit. Making Teeth beautiful,
and stronger than before. CEREC has revolutionized the way our practice
can deliver treatment to patients like you. This high-tech equipment
allows us to restore damaged teeth in a single visit. The result
is a beautiful, natural-colored restoration that is much stronger
than before.
Intra Oral
Video Imaging
We use an intraoral digital camera to show our patients
what we, ourselves, see in the mouth. This camera enables us to
magnify teeth up to 40 times! Being able to see their tooth magnified,
truly helps our patients better understand their dental conditions.
With intra oral imaging, we can also duplicate a patient's natural
tooth shade which assists us in our shade selection of dental materials
and prosthetics.
Digital
Radiography
Radiographic (X-ray) examinations provide Dr. Barbaro with an important
tool that shows the condition of the crown and the root of your
tooth, jaw placement and the overall composition of your facial
bones. X-rays help Dr. Barbaro determine the presence or degree
of periodontal disease, abscesses and many abnormal growths, such
as tumors or cysts. X-rays also can show the exact location of impacted
or unerupted teeth. They can pinpoint the location of cavities and
other signs of disease that may not be possible to detect through
a visual examination. For your safety, we utilize digital radiography.
This allows us to reduce radiation exposure by an astonishing 90%.
It also helps in protecting our environment, as we no longer use
harsh chemicals to develop our x-ray film.
Laser
Caries Detection
On the cutting edge of cavity detection today, we utilize
a laser caries detector. It is American Dental Association approved
and allows us to find cavities which could not be detected previously
with the human eye or two dimensional xrays. For children, as well
as adults, it is a great advantage to find cavities that are small.
There is much less enamel damage and the cavity is easier to restore!
We feel this is probably one of the biggest technological advances
in dentistry today. Check out KAVO
